Hello friends and foes! I've got another trumpet song to share with you today. Although it is almost summer, this track was inspired from the spring and all the creatures that come alive and start buzzing when fresh air hits the outdoors and warm Sun makes entire world come alive.
I must admit, that playing the trumpet is really difficult, especially getting a good tone and accuracy. However, it is also an astoundingly beautiful and colorful instrument, when handled right. As with any instrument though, it is a matter of commitment and mindful practice. This time I had to make a lot of cuts and edits in the song to get together something that sounds coherent. One can hear this definitely in the song as it is not as high quality as one would like. However I still want to release it as I think the melody lines and harmonies were pretty interesting.
Unfortunately I think I won't have time to dedicate myself to improving my trumpet skills in the future as much, because I also want to dedicate time to songwriting and playing the guitar, which I haven't given enough love in the past 15 years. The guitar was the second instrument I learned after the piano and I just could not put it down when I started. I played at every possible moment, I had it with me everywhere I went, took it with me to the parties, took it with me when I went drinking at Pirogovi plats in Tartu, took it with me to the school to play during the breaks, took it with me when I went to South Estonia to visit my ancestors. I could not stay away from it :d
Well, at least that's how I remember it. I am sure I am also exaggerating a little bit :D
